About this Blog

Blessings and One Love to all!

My name is Laura and I created this Blog to cover my journey through Eastern and Southern Africa in 2013/2014!

I’m a 24 year old former student of African Studies and Anthropology. What brought me to this was a one year long volunteering experience in Nairobi, Kenya with the governmentally funded program weltwaerts. It was a quiet life changing experience for me.

Ever since my livication has been towards Africa and the zillion topics you can connect to Africa in our daily lives in the “western” world. Through one year studying in Jamaica I made an in-depth experience with Rastafari which yet again changed my life. Throughout my journey I aim to connect these topics:

Africa – Rastafari – Sustainable Living – Permaculture

I am starting this time on Zanzibar in November 2013; from there heading through Kenya and Uganda and then several other countries (opportunities are: Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana) to South Africa. My goal is to search for Permaculture and other Sustainable Projects and meeting as many Rasta Bredren and Sistren along the way!
